In alignment with company policy, we carried out this year’s corporate social responsibility by starting the initiative „OPERATION GREEN“ and we pledge to plant one tree for each thousand of tons coal mined in our properties.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a crucial part of our company’s strategy. We want to show our employees, investors and customers that our company is dedicated to having a positive impact and benefit the society. We aim to make a difference for the environment and local communities, lead the example and inspire others.

On the bright Wednesday morning of 18th August 2021, a group of our employees joined the owner of the company, Vasyl Danyliv and other members of Management and started the initiative “OPERATION GREEN”. We’re bringing coherent, impactful climate action planting trees and doing other environmental restoration work.

Fact: One acre of new forest can sequester about 2.5 tons of carbon annually.

More and more businesses are making corporate social responsibility a top priority to reduce negative impacts they may have on people and the planet. Reforestation helps us reduce our carbon footprint, but the benefits for people and the environment go beyond that. By planting trees, we help to remove CO2 from the atmosphere, revitalise our ecosystem, restore degraded land, and thus increase water quality and help local communities.

There is an ancient proverb that says, we are not inheriting the Earth from our ancestors, we are merely borrowing it from our children. We hope that the initiative we started on this day will help the future.
