Following the Russian nomenclature, coal from Rostovskaya Mine is a Class A deposit. The total thickness of the seam ranges from 1.27 to 2.13 m.
The coals of all seams are represented by mid- and high-ash, mid- and high-sulphur anthracites, suitable for use as power fuel.
